Stephen and Brielle's Wedding

Saturday Zach and I attended the wedding of our good friends Stephen and Brielle. They got married in the Logan Temple and then had a dinner that we attended that night. Marie and Tyler were nice enough to watch Toby the entire time. The wedding was beautiful and we enjoyed spending time with friends. My favorite part was when Stephen's dad shared the following story. When Steve was young the family bought some lobsters for dinner. Stephen and his brothers played with the lobsters on the kitchen floor for quite a while and had a lot of fun. When it came time to cook the lobsters, Stephen's older brother Bob sadly dropped his in the pot as a tear ran down his cheek. Stephen on the other hand, looked at his lobster and said "Tough luck sucker" and tossed it into the pot. This story just illustrates Stephen's personality perfectly. We are so happy for Stephen and Brielle. Congratulations!

Bad Breath

A few months ago we were at Zach's cousin Rich's house for a super bowl party. Rich's son Kade told me that Toby had stinky breath. I laughed because what can I do - formula stinks so Toby's breath stinks. Well I guess yesterday Toby had had enough of his stinky breath because I caught him chewing on a little piece of soap at my sister's house. So long stinky breath.

Toby has always loved being thrown in the air and swung around so it is no surprise that he loves the swings at the park.

Nine Months

Several weeks ago Toby hit the nine month mark, in fact he is now almost ten months old. He had his nine month appointment and is doing very well. He weighed 19.5 lbs which is in the 33%. His head circumference is in the 96% and his height is in the 40%. The doctor was very impressed that Toby has not had an ear infection yet and surprised that there are still no signs of teeth. When they drew his blood to test the iron it came back suspiciously low, so they cleaned the machine and retested, much to Toby's dislike, and it came back just fine. Toby is now crawling all over the place and is learning to pull himself up on furniture. He still laughs as much as ever and most of the time is fun to be around. He loves to watch the television and will crawl right up to it, pull himself up onto his knees, and sit and watch the tv. He especially loves to watch singing and turns towards the tv when there is a catchy jingle or song. Toby has recently become very attached to his mother and more often than not wants her to hold him instead of anyone else. Toby has been eating a lot of food and his favorites are ice cream, whip cream, and pancakes.
